How about a 9MM. There starting be a few more to pick from but one thang to keep in mind. You are allready use to a longer trigger pull, atleast for that first shot and not haveing any safety to deal with you amy want to stay with a stricker fired pistol. If you want to iwb maybe a Kahr cw9 for a pistol several oz lighter and way thinner than your glock. Something that you can pocket carry theres the cm9 for several more oz lighter yet. Both are very controlable and both can be bought new for around 410 dollars. They do make these in 40 and 45 but recoil can again cause issues for shooters not willing to deal with it.

The Glock 36 = 20+ oz. so to go lighter looks like you'll have to drop to 9mm & maybe even to something like a PF-9 Kel-Tec. Not plugging the Kel-Tec, I don't like them myself, just that is one I'm familiar with. Glock 9mm's with 10+1 capacity are going to end up weighing about the same as your 36, loaded.

There are several light weight 9mm's out recently to compete with the Kel-Tec.

I have a Glock 21sf and I was in the market for something smaller. My local gun store showed me the Diamondback db9.. Breaks down and shoots exactly like a Glock.. I bought one and haven't had any problems with it after around 450 rounds. It's easily concealable and really light. Check it out on YouTube

size comparison to a bersa thunder 380

the new agent is the slimmest lightest most reliable 45acp out there. they also come in 9mm but there are smaller 9mm out there.

You could get a Glock 39 (I think that's the model) in .45GAP, but it isn't that much lighter only an ounce or a tad less at most. I think you would have to go to the 9mm or .380ACP to get a significantly lighter firearm.

Well thanks for the ideas guys i have also a colt model 70 and a cz75 but they r alittle long so i will keep the other weapons in mind

You may save an ounce or 2 by going Glock 26, but to really feel a difference and maintain quality/firing system try a PPS. Pretty sweet little guns... Also don't be afraid to get the 40. It shoots with the same kick as +P 9mm, but it's nice to have 180grains
