Apply/pay for it
wait for it to arrive
enjoy it.

The process need not be difficult. It's just that many places make it that way. What's the deal with the LEO bringing it to your house? Were they checking to make sure you put down the correct address? Was the $10 a tip?

I'm not sure why the PO delivered it to my house, it took me by suprise. I guess that is the way they do it in my small town. The PO had a couple more to deliver as well after mine. The ten dollars is the fee for the permit that is not collected until it is issued. I will consider myself lucky for not having to jump through hoops...the way it should be.

I think it's a great thing. Not that the whole permitting process is in place, but that it is being done seemingly efficiently and with some personal service.

when i went and got mine i just walked into the sheriffs office and filled out a one page questionarre. it was basic info plus such insiteful questions as "why do you feel the need to carry a weapon on your person?" and "what do you feel qualifies you to carry a weapon on your person?". it cost me all of $20 a year and has to be the best $20 a year i spend.

We are pretty pleased with Pennsylvania....took two days to get our LTCF (License to Carry Firearms). We sent our application by e-mail on Tuesday and received an e-mail back from them Thursday telling us to pick up our licenses.

It may have helped that we had current Texas CHL's. It took five months to get our licenses in Texas.

Yeah, I think we hit a push on concealed carry licenses at the time and then Hurricane Ike hit and further delays as a letter from the DPS indicated.
