Gonna do it.

I have all my paper work to the court house today and start the process of getting my virginia CCW..... It will allow me to be processed for purchases faster than now.

I was wondering

Did you take your test on-line?

Pennsylvania Permits

Anyone on here from Pa familiar with the firearms regs?

Moving to Pa from Texas in two weeks. How long does it normally take to obtain a CHL in Pa? It appears my Texas permit will be honored in Pa, at least for the six months allowed to become a resident. I will probably head to the local Sheriffs office upon arrival to look into a non-resident license at first but I'm hoping I can use my Tx license while applying for my Pa license.

Is open-carry permitted? Not really interested in open carry but thought I would not have to be so concerned in the summer if "showing".

Thanks in advance for any insight!

I apologize for hi-jacking your thread! I thought I had started my own! Again, my apologies (as shown, I am not real computer literate....lol)

Congrats Tango!

I thought you had your CCW for some time already.

Now that we Virginians can CC in restaurants that serve alcohol (Without imbibing, of course), your permit will go that much farther toward protecting yourself, your family, and the sheep. Good on you, Bro!

I don't need to take a test.

I just go to the court house with my DD214 and my paper work $25 and get my finger prints then I wait till my permit gets to me in the mail....

I live in a rural VA county. No prints. Gave them a copy of my military ID. 3 days later, had letter from Clerk of Court- said come down here and sign your license.
