My girlfriend's concealed handgun permit showed up yesterday! Now she can finally carry her G19.

A G19 should be a staple in every household. Just my biased opinion of course.

As long as you ALWAYS carry it in a holster well secured with the trigger guard Completely covered!

Aren't you supposed to do that with any pistol?

Congrats! My wife and I will be carrying when we're settled down back in NC. I hate not being able to carry, even though I only did for maybe six months before I moved.

It is not a 'requirement' with a double action revolver. Many carry them in their pockets or purses with out a holster. I don't advise this, BUT this is 'safe' compared to carrying a Glock, or any other handgun which requires only a very short moment of the trigger to fire, the same as any single action handgun 'cocked' and 'unlocked' (no active safety applied).
