How in the name of Dianne Feinstein did you get a carry permit in California? Are you a police officer or a movie star?

Negative. I've lived here a relatively short period of time. This incident happened in Chattanooga, Tennessee, my home town.

Up here in the northern end of Cali, we've got gun loving Sheriffs. If you can give them a reasonable explanation of why you need to carry, they give you the permit.

An easy reason is that you often carry large sums of money on your person. They don't care if you consider $17 to be a large sum of money either.

No, and I really hope I never have to. Unless a racoon counts.

I have many, many times in uniform and a few times off duty(medically retired Deputy Sheriff), trigger has been pulled a few times as well. Since retirement many moons ago, it has never been pulled from leather and hope I never have to. It is always with me though.

I've never had to draw my personal firearm.
