You certainly won't see it from me. I had my first gun of every type (Rifle, shotgun, handgun) long before I was old enough to buy ammo for them much less get a permit.

I have been a hunter my whole life. I was responsibly trained from the day I could shoulder a bb gun. It is only recently that I purchased my first handguns and am only now comfortable enough to consider getting my permit. I hope to have it by June.

You have to have eggs before you can make an omelette.

Quite the opposite, I have been a gun owner from the late 70's

I have CC for years before it was 'legal'. But you would have to have a 'gun' to carry before you could CC, legal or illegal!

Like some here, I owned guns for over forty years before there was a carry license available in my state (Texas). Having a CCL is a minor part of my appreciation and enjoyment of firearms.

The reason I ask is because it seems to me that many of the new posters I see are posting that they've got their permit and now need to figure out which gun. Seems backward to me, but I wanted to make sure I was seeing things right.
