I carry both a Colt 1911 and a Ruger G-100 .357 with a 6" barrel. The 1911 fits real well in the front pocket of my jeans and this is how I sometimes carry it when I am out in the middle of nowhere. I also have one of the old-style leather shoulder holsters I use.

I dont IWB but i do dual carry colt 1911 gcs in a ghost force combat harness. Dual holstered shoulder harness i got a really good deal on a few years ago. So its very doable. If im not doing that i have a combat holster that sits across the small of my back...dont know who makes it though.

God didnt make all men equal colonel sam colt did

I carry a Glock 22 IWB everyday at work in a home made Crossbreed style holster, in the winter I sometimes go with the Blackhawk CQC OWB but as an auto tech this gets snagged more often while working under the dash of a car. When we go out as a family this might not be the case as I have several guns in rotation for carry duty.
