Do you think a laser could be a distraction to the shooter?

Actually I found that when the perp is a foot or 2 away there is not much aiming required.

I used to have a laser on every handgun. Then I sold them all and moved from polymer land to steel. None of them have a laser.

Since I spent 98% of my training time with the iron sights, I came to the realization that the laser would only really be helpful if you had to fire from a position in which you could not extend and use your iron sights.

I'm sure those situations do happen, and I might rue the day I decided not to have a laser, but I don't feel underprepared or poorly equipped to not have a laser.

The laser on the Bodyguard is a little odd, IMO. Crimson Trace is much less conscious, just grip the weapon and it is on. I don't like an extra step of turning on the laser.
