Packing heat in the shower? Nope just Meat! Im not worried, gods got my 12 oclock and I live in the boonies where gunshots are heard often but they are never at people!

I couldnt think of a reason to go into the shower with a weapon until I saw the Military reference earlier. When we were under arms, we had our weapons either with a standing guard not far away or in sight with the shower curtain open.

Occasionally, after a really nasty dirt field problem, they would come right into the showers with us (remove the bolt and rod the barrel with a brush first)! Hot water will get the yucky crap out of an M16 quicker than sh!t. Immediately after, while they are still hot, they get a super wipe down and a CLP bath! We got CLP by the gallon and that stuff is great! I know that isnt in the M16A2, PMCS guide but it works!

Same here...I used to take my M16 into the shower at Camp Lejeune after a training op and jet the crud out of it with steaming hot water while jetting the crud off myself. It was a quick and easy way of de-griming it...then I'd break it down, dry each componant off and clean and lube the hell out of it. The gunners in my platoon did it with their M60's, too.

I would most definitely do exactly that! ;-)

I would expect people who need guns in showers are very young. They are most likely playing with water pistols.

Nope, pretty damn old. Given the number of daylight break ins that are happening on an every other day basis in our rural area I'll be keeping the stainless .38 right where it is. You may play with the water pistol all you want....Outside! Seriously, there have been a dozen houses entered, seems jewelry is their favorite but when it started they got electronics, some guns, and even dogs. The county and the troopers are all over the roads but they haven't got them yet. They got my Sony voice recorder from the car and the grandkids Ipad and dog from the house next to us, so I know they have been here.

I always carry my gun but I don't carry firearms in the shower.

I wasn't taking this post seriously, but maybe I should. How water proof is 12 gauge 00 buck shot shells? Maybe the 12 gauge should be sitting next to the shower.

The 12 gauge will start to rust before moisture harms the shells in the tube. This is from experience. (Not shower experience though. LOL)

What did somebody forget to engage their safety and shoot the dogs front teeth out? Or are we blaming that on the Glock shooters?
