cz 75b for concealed carry
Anyone have experience carrying this gun. Does the weight or size hinder you in any way? Are its controls simple enough to function during a high stress situation?

What type action is yours ? Mine is spo1tac which is da/sa and no external safety. Pretty simple, 10,5lb da trigger pull and you are hot.
With cool weather comming I would think a shoulder holster would do nice under a jacket or coat. I have not tried it maybe someone here has.

If I was going to carry a CZ. It would probably be the P01 or the P07 given a choice.
That said, aside from size (and that's not really a big deal), I can't think of any reason not to carry a full sized CZ75. It's similar in size to a 1911, though a bit thicker in the grip. I don't find them to be particularly heavy, of course opinions vary. Concealment may not be especially easy, but it's certainly workable with a bit of thought. People conceal full sized 1911s all the time. A CZ75 can't really be that much harder.
As for action type and manipulation of the controls, Mine is a CZ75BD (decocker) so it's pretty darned simple. The standard style safety is not a big deal. What ever you carry, practice with it so that it becomes second nature.

The CZ 75b is a truly great gun. It actually rivals the 1911 as my personal favorite pistol platform, and really...you may as well call it a 9mm double-stacked 1911. You could also state as much about the BHP (another personal favorite), yet I actually prefer the CZ between the two.
But even most CZ fanatics are deterred from carrying it due to the weight alone (and that includes me). Sometimes I do carry my BHP though. I think a 75b fan might find a lot of pleasure in the alloy-framed 2075 RAMI as a concealed carry gun. Compact gun, lighter frame material (while still being metal), same basic design and controls as the 75b.
But if you don't mind the size/weight of a big-boy 75b, have at it. A lot of folks carry 1911s, and apart from being just a little wider on the back half...it's darn near the same setup.
Carry whatever you enjoy, shoot well, and are willing to tote around all day. And if the size/weight are problematic but you want a metal frame, check out the 2075 RAMI or maybe even a Sig P239.

If you want all the goodness of a CZ without the bulk and weight check out the compact. It retains enough weight to temper recoil yet bests the full size in concealibility. 14+1 capacity in 9mm to boot.
