I was just curious. Not a lot of folk that I talk to would post those women's names. But in their day they were beautiful and still look pretty good today.

Are there any today who look better? I'm a Bacal man, and I'm 36... She could have gained a few pounds, but no one is perfect...

Jason,
Have you considered a Derringer? I carry a Davis .38 Double Barrel in my boot or pocket in a simple handmade holster that either straps to the inside of one of my boot straps or when wearing shoes resides in a pocket. I also have a six-shot Charter Arms .32 Long that is very light and concealable, although not so powerful. The Derringers come in .45 now, so that is a very good carry for your situation IMO. I'm also thinking of getting a shoulder holster for my .45 Colt 3 1/2" SAA (Sherrif's Model). Powerful and 5 shots with an empty under the hammer.

Rich

True but i thought we were talking about 9mm and .45. A poke in the eye with a stick will stop someone.

I'm a "form follows function" sort of guy.

Drive a pickup, because I need to get the job done,

not look good.

Use full size pistols, because smaller ones are miserable

at the range, which is where I do most of my shooting.

So, while I'm probably not the best person to ask about CC,

I make my wardrobe adjustments to fit my larger carry guns,

which include a 92FS and a 1911.

.45 vs 9mm? I like them both, and the increased muzzle energy

coming from full-size barrels...

Yeah I know we are, I just wanted to say that if even the minuscule .22 LR has stopped thousands of people, a 9mm should be able to get the job done.

thing is, there will always be the debate about different calibers being better than others, and this debate will be around as long as there are guns and ammo! pick what makes you happy and practice with it until you can hit what you aim at. really doesn't mean diddly squat if you can't hit your target, regardless of how good or better than others it is.

me, i practice with a lot of 45 ACP. reason is, i currently own three different pistols in 45 and i reload a lot for that caliber. i also own many other pistols in many different calibers, but i prefer the 45. does that mean to me that the 45 is the best or end all to the caliber debate? no, it's just what i prefer. period. i like every caliber i own, or else i wouldn't own them or shoot them!

just make your choices as to what you like and what suits you, and not someone else.
