Yea I did. She now has her weapons as well. She packs a KelTec P32 daily in her purse, and a S&W MP15-22 for fun at the range. And she's all but laid an ownership claim on my Walther P22. Works for me though.

When I was dating my (then future) wife, I would try to minimize the friction by carrying a .38 snubbie. But I let her know about it. She was totally disgusted, but soon understood it was either me and the gun, or neither. She got used to it, and by the time we were married a few months she wanted to get something for herself. So we went to the local gun shop, and the dealer, who was not a rocket scientist, started showing her a Raven .25 mouse gun. My wife, who was 5'2, 110 lbs, said, " If I have to shoot somebody, I don't want to just piss him off. I want to shut his a$$ down". She walked out of the shop with a Dan Wesson 744VH - a .44 mag with 3 interchangeable barrels, 4", 6", and 8". She got to be pretty good with it, too. She'd go with me to an indoor range, and inevitably there'd be some Bozo in the lane next to hers who would try to scare her by shooting a .357. She'd wait for him to shoot, peep around the lane divider to get her reaction, then squeeze off a couple of hot .44 mag rounds and watch the clown jump outta his shoes.

Ill usually let a girl know I carry before the date or at the beginning of it. If she's not comfortable with it I might give her a couple gun free dates just so she can see I'm not some crazy dude with a gun. If she can't get used to the idea by the 3rd date the the 4th doesn't usually happen

Unless you're very athletic... or kinky, an ankle holster should take care of that.
