Every girl I've dated has pegged me as a nut for carrying a gun except the one I didn't tell about it . I carried pepper spray instead when out with her. One day I mentioned that I was going to put skateboard tape on the front of my MkIII pepper spray canister, so I could feel to point it forward .

She responded with a contemptuous question, " What is the chance you'll ever need to use it ? "

I wonder what she'd have said if she'd known about the holstered Glock in the glove box ??????????????

I'm too old a geezer to worry about dating, but if I did, I'd carry my Para-Ordnance Warthog, a small .45 ACP, in an ankle holster, so as not to have her get hysterical by discovering it before I tell her about it. But I'd make sure she knows I carry if there is a 2nd date. If she chooses to be offended, I'll spare her the discomfort of a 3rd date.

Yep. I've been victimized by a couple of ladies who showed me one personality while dating, married them, only for them to suddenly change their personalities after the ceremony. I'd never want to get a relationship going with someone without her knowing who I am, and without my knowing who she really is.

One thing is for sure: You really want to avoid having a "negligent discharge" on a date. You could end up being sorry the rest of yer life.

Way back in time, dinner and a few glasses of wine did the trick. Times have changed!

Back in the late 1970s, my baby sister dated a guy that always carried in an ankle holster. Didn't bother her any.

I've got (allegedly, for you eavesdropping Govt types) a Para P10-45, predecessor to the Warthog, and that is more weight than I'd want on my ankle!
