Also if the other has a gun, and you can see it, it probably is aimed at you, and bullets can travel faster than 30 feet a second.

If they have drawn their weapon. The situation can be a catch 22. However the knife can be the biggest threat under most circumstances.

Well, I already know the one has a gun, as your scenario tells me so. Wether the gun is turned sideways gangsta style or not, the projectile can still travel faster than a man running with a knife. I can turn and run and keep my distance from the knife welder, but still cannot out run a bullet.

Do not stand still on the draw. Sidestep the charging rhino. He will have tunnel vision and cannot turn on the full charge. Two shots at the gunman. Two to side or back of the knife man. Remember, do not stand still! Never, ever stand still in the open. You are harder to hit, especially with amateurs, which most are. Practice at the range.

Since the knife wielder is a female she has to go down first, Then go for the person with the gun.

There is a very good reason I asked for gender. Because of height and upper body strength differences a women is much more likely to raise the knife above her shoulder and stab downwards. If the knife is long enough this motion can hit every vital organ in your chest plus the major vessels feeding your brain. A man is more likely to stab straight in or slash.

Now, consider that both of them were at your stated 30 feet, and that the woman was in full sprint, she was probably in the other attackers field of fire. That also makes her the much more dangerous attacker.
