concealed carry in texas
Does anyone know if you can legally carry a naa Minnie revolver in the state of texas with a concealed carry permit?

The reason I ask is I plan on getting my concealed carry permit and a sub compact 9mm but I would like to be able to carry my naa .22 mag while at the beach or while kayaking as well when clothing doesn't allow for the 9mm.
A co worker of mine told me that you have to have two permits in Texas if you want to be able to carry both a pistol or a revolver and that you can't legally carry a concealed rim fire pistol/revolver in Texas.
Is that BS or true?

Welcome to the community!

You’ll find plenty of firearms knowledge on here, as well as meet plenty of fun loving, people with common sense. :)

Robo or someone in the know from TX will be along shortly to answer your question. In the mean time, why don't you drop by the introductions forum to introduce yourself.

In TX you can have an "SA" rating which means you can carry a semi-auto or revolver, or you have an "NSA" rating which means you can carry only a revolver. It's a little silly but they determine it by what you qualified with so most people qualify with a semi-auto even if they plan to carry a revolver.

However with the permit you can carry any gun of that class and it is not limited by ownership, make, model, etc.
