concealed carry in texas

Does anyone know if you can legally carry a naa Minnie revolver in the state of texas with a concealed carry permit?

The reason I ask is I plan on getting my concealed carry permit and a sub compact 9mm but I would like to be able to carry my naa .22 mag while at the beach or while kayaking as well when clothing doesn't allow for the 9mm.
A co worker of mine told me that you have to have two permits in Texas if you want to be able to carry both a pistol or a revolver and that you can't legally carry a concealed rim fire pistol/revolver in Texas.
Is that BS or true?
