I was born and spent my childhood in California, beautiful country. State is so big you get every kind of landscape, ocean beaches to deserts to mountains to canyons. My family still lives around Bakersfield, my brother and family just moved back a few months ago, San bernandino area. So gorgeous.

Just can't get past the hippie/ commie politics, never paid attention as a kid but now that I pay taxes, have property, and rather not have it strongarmed from me, I'll just visit the family now and then.

Well, it's been almost 2 years since I got my CCW and time for renewal. Took the renewal class Saturday ( $30.00) will go to Sheriffs office on 9-3 with $55.00, paperwork, and get a renewed permit. Deputy suggested I wait till the last day so I wouldn't lose days off the 2 yr. permit.
Love living in rural northern Calif.. (Jefferson).
Keep your powder dry boys.
Things are gonna get rough.

Wow. That kind of money for only 2 years?
makes me glad i live in PA, where it's $20, no class needed (Only recommended), no finger prints, one Form, your ID, and walk in processing.

My wife and i both walked in at the dame time, were processed together, and left with both our LTCFs in Less than 20 minutes. We don't need to renew until 9\11\2019. makes me kind of glad I left Cali. as a kid.

Now, before the hate starts, I moved to PA from NY last year, and had a CCW\ Pistol Permit in NY since 1998. Fingerprints, months of waiting, Permit Class, 4 references, and about $350 out of pocket for a Lifetime Permit, which now has to be updated\renewed every 5 years. $3 add\remove, and a limit of 15 handguns unless you have a permit to collect.

This was in rural Western NY. Don't get me started on the cost (monetary and sanity) of a 3 Year Only permit to possess at home permit in NYC. CC permit there can take upwards of a year, and cost thousands. that's if you can get one at all.
Guns don't kill people. Blood loss and organ failure do.

I may live in the North, but I still uphold the Southern Values I was raised with.

lifetime member. NAHC, NRA, And SCOPE NY

If it's a nice enough day to wash the bike, it's d@mn well also a nice enough day to be riding it instead.

Kansas was just added to the "Free" states. There are now 5 states where elected politicians do not sell you your 2nd Amendment Rights. Such a shame there should be 50.
