I think the whole CC vs open discussion is stuck on the terminology. But I digress.

simple fact is, some states don't have open carry, only concealed carry and in some of those states, if your pistol is visible to others, then you are breaking the concealed carry laws of that state.

My carry permit is on it's way and I've been wondering how I could conceal either of my guns even if I wanted to. The s&w .40 is a 3.5" barrel and the ruger is a 4". Ruger came with the holster and the .40 holster was a quick unplanned decision. Membership card there for size comparison. Both hang under my shirt when it's pulled over and the .40 sticks off my side a mile. Even if the barrel didn't hang down it would b OBVIOUS. don't really wanna go the butterfly route cause thatd b out the window n summer and not sure if I could pull off an "in the waistband" holster cause I'm a bigger guy and wear a belt. What do you guys suggest?

I was looking in to the shoulder harness's but didn't know what I'd do n the summer. I also looked at the holsters that go in side your pants but doubted their comfort because my self and gun aren't small, plus I wear a belt every day

As hoss said there are some very comfy iwb holsters as a matter of fact I have a black hawk #5 iwb that I carry my XD 40. In and its very nice ... It was 13.00, have a 40.00 white hat that I don't care for ... And I have a 20.00 tagua that my pf9 rides in every day and love it

My opinion would be not to wear anything that might give someone the idea you're carrying a gun. Otherwise, what's the point of carrying concealed? You mind as well open carry. While pro gun shirts can be cool, they can single you out as someone that might be carrying a gun. As for wearing any tacticool gear in public, well, that removes all question. Not to mention it makes you look like a douche bag.
