Plan A: Repent and be a true Christian.

Plan B: See Plan A, and carry a big stick.

As it should. For the same reason there will never be a school shooting. Carrying there is illegal too...

I tend to stay out of those places.

I am just old school I guess, and the way I was raised it would have been unheard of to feel the need to take a gun to church. I did grow up in a small town in Illinois, so maybe that explains it.
So you really aren't from Maine? Your handle suggest that you are and I have to say, I personally have been embarrassed by the idiocy of some of your comments. Perhaps you need to change your handle to "Raised in Illinois" NUF Said!

Praise the LORD; and pass the ammunition.

(Other Christians may be running low on ammo...)

I will never understand the tendency for people to consider an item "evil." An item only has the power we imbue it with. I carry everywhere because I never know where trouble will come, and by not carrying in certain buildings or areas, I am also disarmed while on my way to those sites.

My gun is not irreverent in church because I do not act irreverent while carrying. My gun is not a threat in public because I am not threatening in public. I do not use my gun to intimidate anyone. Just like I would carry a flashlight into church but never use it to light up the pastor or minister, my gun is with me and never seen...until my life is in danger.

In my mind, God knows my heart and knows why I carry. I am not disrespectful, irreverent or even heretical when my gun attends church, because the gun is incapable of action without me. What everyone is afraid of is what other churchgoers will think of them if they find out they are armed. Since we are supposed to "Judge not lest ye be judged" (Matthew 7:1-3 KJV) and church is not supposed to be a popularity contest, then we need to rethink why we don't carry in church, or anywhere else for that matter.
