Default Cheap Concealed Carry

I am looking to add a new weapon for concealed carry purposes. At the moment I am carrying a Mauser HSC in the summer most of the time and in the winter I am carrying a 1911.
I am looking for something that is around 300 dollars to have around the house and carry during the summer, so i don't want anything to big.
Any thoughts on what you think might work.

Try a Ruger LCP or a Taurus TCP 738. Others are Kel Tec and Kar arms.
I see you are new so if you could, please swing by the introductions section and tell us a bit about yourself.

Are you thinking auto or revolver? What caliber is your first choice?

Less than three hundred bucks, dependable and a great size: Bersa Thunder 380.

I like my Kel-Tec PF9. Don't thank me, just remember me in your will.

For autos I would suggest a Bersa Thunder, Kel-Tec P3AT, or Ruger LCP. Those are the three that I know of below the $300 mark.

I prefer a semi-auto but I would like all opinions.
I like the .380 and .38 special.

What a wide-open question!

I usually carry a 3" 1911 in .45 (by no means under $300), or a little teensy Elsie Pea, but that's because I need as small as possible when I can't conceal my 45.

If you are willing to go just a hair larger, 9mm is THE round. The Kel-Tec PF9 seems like a perfect fit for the few needs you put on the table. At a higher dollar figure, the answer may be Kahr's PM9. At a smaller size, the Ruger LCP may be your answer.

But the PF9 sounds like it may be just right.

Sounds like you want small, light and cheap (yet reliable of course). Rugers seem the most obvious... (lighter than your Mauser): LCP or LCR... Both are in the @$300 ballpark.
