Default CCW Question

Anybody from Indiana with CCW, I'm waiting on mine and have heard they are just a piece of paper. What suggestions do you have for ways to make it last. It is a lifetime, after all. Would think they would do it like a driver's license.
Is it ok to laminate it?
Thanks in advance.

I got mine last week. Got it "thick" laminated at Staples for a few bucks. It is kind of a flimsy piece of paper that will deteriorate quickly if you don't protect it.
