I suppose a blind man should be held to the same standards concerning being responsible for stray bullets. If so, then OK. He has his rights until he misuses them.

Would you not defend yourself if you were pepper sprayed, had blood in your eyes, or could not see through your own tears?
I knew Zimmerman would come up!!

Very observant. I am pretty sure that is why the other thread disappeared.

I know lots of older folks that own cars but cant drive anymore, they own one so that they are able to have some of the same advantages able bodied individual have without asking others to foot that bill; not a crime, thats part of their coping skills. You may become legally blind in your life and if you do, a law that says you cant CCW now takes rights away that you had because of a disability, ADA and other laws say thats a big time no no!

Im nearly blind in my right eye, should I only be allowed a Left Eye CCW?

Maybe I should be restricted to shooting criminals only if they are in my 6 to 12 oclock and forget about those in my 12 to 6.

I also wear glasses so should my CCW permit say, "Must wear glasses when in possession" ?

How about if you wake up at night to a home invasion, is the basis for a righteous SD shoot based on if you turned the lights on?

Assuming a legally blind person has no legal need for a CCW is not reasonable nor legal, judgement is only relative if they use the weapon inappropriately, assuming they will kill someone they shouldn't supports prejudice and speculation without due cause.

I would disagree with the word "incompetent."

Again, as I and others have said numerous times in this thread - so if you're in a defensive situation where your vision is now limited because of something the attacker does to you, you aren't competent enough to use your firearm in close quarters?

This question has been asked in different ways multiple times in this thread, by myself and others. And not one person has had an answer to it yet.
