No actual shooting required to obtain said permit, even for ppl with perfect vision.
Like previously stated, ridiculousness such as this is just ammo for gun grabbers.
But, does that mean that EVERY blind person that gets a gun will not learn how to use it?

No, it doesn't. And I can say this with 100% certainty because not every sighted person that gets a gun doesn't not learn how to use it.

As I watched him fumble with the fire arm in the video, I may contend that he has the right to carry it but he shouldn't. Poor muzzle awareness, he actually stuck his finger in the slide. How is he going to visually verify thay the firearm is unloaded? We all seen the only qualified agent get it wrong with 2 good eyes and another person assisting. He said he could hear them and shoot in that direction, im sure I misquoted that but not by enough to change the meaning of what he was implying. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

All those mistakes would go away with more training.

Just take a look at a sighted person that has little to no training, you'll see many of the same mistakes.

I am less concerned with a citizen's competency to carry than his right to carry. Inherent risk exists when anyone produces a weapon in defense of his life. Over penetration or inaccuracy is always a possibility. Now we are talking about theoretical probabilities.

I would love my blind husband to be able to get CCW permit...how do I find out if he can? I am a CCW permit holder but not with my husband while he is at our business. I often worry about him when he is alone there. He goes shooting with me all the time and hits the targets from 30 feet!

He is completly blind only sees black and he is in a wheelchair. The shooting ranges often have setups for wheelchairs. We've never asked if it was okay for him to shoot because we don't want to be told no...but like with any sited person...practice makes perfect and blind people can be just as effective with a gun and should be allowed to conceal carry.

First rule of gun safety...........always point a gun in a safe direction
note: A blind person cannot determine a safe direction

i recommend a good powerful stun gun

the whole concept of the blind with a ccw or even firing one is absurd..............from a
