As i understand it, nj is very anti gun. I think you have to prove that your life is in immediate danger and practically get what amountsto a court order to get a cpl there. Wa is easier, be 21, legally allowed to own a gun, pay the fee, and get fingerprinted. They have up to 30 days for residents, or 60 for non residents. I got mine in the mail on day 15. My mom got hers in 7-10.

Don't set it it took me thirty days to get an appointment with the department of ag and then another 30 on the button to receive my ccw and I hear they are super backlogged .So if you've already sent you're paperwork or have had you're appointment you should have it between 30-60 days.

RE: NJ, Pretty much so. Retired LEOs and military have an easier time going through the channels though. Its got a lot to do with who you know as well, i believe. I don't stand a chance in hell of being approved since i know no one significant, and not retired LEO or military.

My buddy lived in NJ and worked as a cop in Baltimore and they still would not issue him a cwp. He said NJ is very strict on approvals. (He now lives in Fl) lol.

Yup. I have a friend, retired lieutenant at our local PD. took him the better part of a year and countless hoops before they issued him his. Shameful IMHO.

Wow! Back in 2009 in Ohio it took maybe 2 to 3 weeks. Depends on which county and sheriff's office you go to. Some are better than others. Pro-Carry sheriff's seem to process more quickly. Go figure!

I know it is easier to say than do, but if everyone moved away from these Nazi states and their economies tanked maybe they would learn a lesson. These anti-Constitutionalists drive me nuts with their stupidity. They should all be shipped to a penal colony... Like Australia!

I got the call from the county clerk today, my CCW paperwork is ready.
Although the clerk said it would be 45 days, the officer who fingerprinted me said 45 days and one guy who was picking up his when I went there to apply said 45 days....I got mine in 15 days. Go figure.
