CCW, Ohio, art festivals?
I am a vendor at art festivals in ohio. They usually take place on some sort of government property. City streets, parks, town squares. Can I conceal carry or not?

Yes. Ohio cities can't make laws that go against the state laws on carry. You can't carry into a school building or say a court house but public streets and parks are ok. You can even have your gun with you in your car if you are dropping off the kiddies at school. They passed the bill last year that allows carrying into places that serve alcohol as long as you aren't drinking.

Grog- we really give LOUSY legal advice. (RJD, that is NOT a slam on you- general comment) I would suggest you check with the Ohio Attorney General's Office.
In the meantime, here is a link to some info from the Ohio AG's office on concealed carry. See around page 13. http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/getattachment/02ff1ca7-b17e-46e2-9f1f-505beac65926/Concealed-Carry-Laws-Booklet.aspx |
Thats the link I was looking for. Thanks c3.

It seems that I could legally CCW...but have decided that knowing Taekwondo should be enough. It was so hot yesterday that even my LCP would be hard to hide.
Thanks for the info. Brian |
