I know my capabilities, but my predicting the mag messing up in the future (or when needed) needs a little work.

What are your shooting abilities that make you think you won't need a reload. You know you won't miss. You know how many are going to attack you. ? Your abilities won't help you if you have a problem with your magazine.

IMO, if I can't get it done with what's

in the gun, at least it was a nice try.

Think about it, light, knife, gun, etc, etc, etc,

where does it all end? Hand grenades?

If that's your thinking why carry a firearm. We all gotta die sometime.

Usually a truck bed full and the 8x10 utility trailer attached that's loaded to to capacity. Not to mention a full tactical vest loaded down. I guess my humor failed with my first post.

probably should have a formula worked out. In any crowd there are X number of bad guys, so then you should carry Y number of rounds to deal with the threat which is unknown.

I heard that the odds that there is a bomb on the airplane you are riding on are a million to one. That's why I carry a bomb with me, at least I know who has that one-in-a-million bomb and it is on my airplane!

Although that deserves a thread of it's own, I'll answer here.
If it is a country parade, only two extra mags (in the brown case).
Unless there is a VFW group, then only one is needed.

But if it's a city parade, then four mags with those killer (non-) Satanic Tank busters referenced in another thread.

Now if the city parade is filled with anti-Amercian, rainbow colored costumes with Environmental types, I just stay home and shoot a few mags on my own range.

But what about a visit to the flight museum?

(Just for the record, I have 5 mags with me right now, I am on the couch watching the news)

If the museum is located on a navy base, you better not have any. They have restrictions about carrying on a navy base. Air Force bases seem to think that their personnel are adults.

Specifically, NAS Pensacola and NAS Whiting Field (both navy) have signs that firearms and ammo are prohibited, but Hurlburt Field (AF) has a shooting range open to active duty and retirees.

Absolutely not, that would leave me Ammo-less.
