Times have changed much too. I am a little more hesitant today to shoot like I did 25 or 30 years ago. Back then I never thought twice about pulling over and walking out on any bridge to shoot at a bottle or can floating down stream. Didn't think too much about throwing the bottle or can in the river. Now eek.....

Why? When you can shoot the ones furthest from you, leaving those in the front under the impression that their pals might be still behind them.
Work back to front, ala Sargent York style.

Ahh...to be young and exhuberant again.

I'm only 40...and in decent shape...but waking up with 11 pieces of Government hardware in my back pretty much ended my hand to hand tough guy days.

Instead, I really on having many friends with me at all times. They may be tiny at only 147 grains each...but they are...in the words of Zoolander...REALLY, REALLY, RIDUCULOUSLY QUICK!

I generally carry about 15 rounds. If I'm carrying a double stack I'll have extra magazines in my vehicle or backpack, but not on me. Single stacks or LCR, i carry extra magazines/speedstrips. I carry one of 4 different guns depending on circumstance.

I used to never carry extra ammo. Then I took an advanced defensive pistol course. Going through some of the drills, I decided I can never have enough ammo. But you have to draw a line somewhere..

With all the news reports of these nut cases shooting up malls and movies theatres I am never going to carry less than 12 rounds again.

You got it ace. I live in a rural area. You never know when those cans will attack. Sometimes a friend acquires a new silhouette. It would be a shame to leave that silhouette all painted up nice and pretty.

Another shooting! (OREGON MALL) Just great..... im praying for the victims and their families.
I can't believe nobody with CWP shot this A-hole?????
Come on sheepdogs!
Maybe this will change some of your minds about carrying a reload.
Or maybe not. This is a normal routine event these days.

Wouldn't make me carry extra mag, wouldn't need it. One guy. Extra mags makes less sense to me than extra guns does.

2 victims dead, 1 in hospital and shooter suicide. Thank "God" for that one. No possible wrongful death suits and no wasted state funds on trial. Wrapped up like a Christmas present, good timing.
