This. I learned from my dad in 4th grade the most effective way to deal with a bully is to knock the hell out of them. I have been life long friends with the kid who bullied me since the day my chubby ass popped him on the nose.

exactly my point Jim. i'm not saying that violence isn't sometimes a necessary part of life in which it is sometimes required, but to get joy, or to enjoy violence is just sick and twisted.

If I was going to bother to lug around more than a Micro9 in my front pants pocket rig, I'd use a lw Commander in .460 Rowland, so that I could use the 70 gr solid copper Split Nose bullets, at 2300 fps, for 800 ft lbs. Missing a lot, or hitting weakly, is not the answer for civilians.

I've never shot the Rowland kit in anything other than the full size Government size (5"), but as good as the comp works on it, I'd tend to think it would work almost equally well in a Commander (4.25") size, and wouldn't have any hesitation to shoot 1. In fact, the way a comp works better the higher velocity it is, it should be VERY effective on that load you mentioned. Short of carrying a full size (only in winter/cold months for ME because I'm warm natured & dress minimally in attempt to stay cool) a pocket rocket in a pocket holster such as the excellent Kahr CM series is MY personal choice (CM-40). For it's diminutive size, it's the smallest platform you can get for that powerful of a cartridge.

Why all of these halfassed measures????

Just get a short double barrel 10 gauge with 12 inch barrels and carry it under a trench coat!
