LCP is a great pocket gun.

If I am truly going pocket carry, I go with my Kahr P380. I also have a Kahr CM9, but it is still not really a pocket gun in the way that the P380 or Ruger LCP is. If you do not regularly pocket carry in slacks, the PM9/CM9 should be fine for most people, though.

When possible, go IWB and carry at least a 9mm. But when necessary to pocket carry, you shouldn't feel bad for going .380acp. It's better than no gun or a dinky .22lr or .25acp.

Ruger LCR in my pocket is my default carry here in Florida if I don't want to hassle with anything else in the heat.

I can't comment for revolvers, but for semi-auto I would suggest the LCP/P3AT or the P380 for pocket carry.
