Default Applying for chl in texas

I was arrested when I was a 16 and I am 21 now this happened in August of 06 and when I am applying online and they ask for the date of the offense it comes up in red that it is an invalid date... I don't get it can anyone tell me what this means

Make sure you have the format of the date the way they want it, for instance 01/23/66 or 01/23/1966 or Jan/23/1966 .Many of the online forms have to have the format absolutely correct or it will just keep sending you back to the page.

or 2006 and not 06.

And READ the instructions carefully. I am not in Texas, but ar they asking about ARRESTS or about CONVICTIONS? There IS a difference, ya know.
What we have here is... failure- to communicate.
