Trailer park in Klamath Falls Oregon. Kids were small and we were at the playground at the back of the park when bullets started dropping in. A lot of them and some were pretty close. Got the family out of there and told my wife to get the manager to call the police. I took off in the truck with my 12 gauge and buck shot. I found the 3 jerks shooting hand guns at dirt clods they were tossing up in the air and shooting over the hill into the trailer park. We did not get to have much of a discussion because the deputy sheriff showed up and told me to put my shotgun away and go home. I dont know what happened to them but he picked up their guns out of the dirt and was putting them in his car as I drove off.

I couldn't say it better.

I've never had much more than a bb gun war. Have been on the bad side of the barrel a couple times, but never really been shot at.

While growing up during h.s. years there was a cornfield just on the other side of our property line maybe 200 ft away. A club would hunt in the fields back there. One day a group of guys were driving/walking our property line and my dad confronted them sayi.g they were too close to our house to be hunting.

A few days later i heard a slam toward the back of the house. It sounded like someone hit the house with a bat. After lookin around like crazy i found a hole in the side of the house. Whadda ya know there was a 12ga slug embedded in the wall. The way it was angled showed it came from the direction of the road entrance at the bottom of the field.

Coincidence? Accident? I think not.

Dad called the cops, made a report and nothing ever came out ofit. But i was pissed.
Good thing he wasnt a gun guy or had guns around.(I've never even been hunting) I knew there was no point in going down there with my crossman .177

I was 19 and working as a process server, knocked on an apartment door looking for a dead beat dad and found a 70 yr old woman with a 12ga instead....she opened the door and fired one shot before I drew could draw on her. She quickly put it up when she realized I wasn't looking for her, the apartments were miss marked! I bout **** my pants at that moment.....after gathering my composure I found the apartment and dad I was looking for. The best part came when he slammed the door after I gave him the papers, as I walked away he slammed the door and it fell off the hinges!

not anywhere inside the CONUS.

but, I can say that the sound of the first 1/2" diameter hail stone hitting the dead center of the roof of the truck you're in while in Downtown Pittsburgh as a thunderstorm is approaching...sounds a LOT like a 7.62 smacking the sheetmetal of an SUV. My buddies didn't think it was all that funny when I screamed out 'CONTACT!!!! WHERE IS HE?!' but then again, they weren't really thinking about how I had only been back in the states about 7 weeks at that point. plus there was no warning of hail at all, just sitting there at a stop light, then all of a sudden "THWACK!" haha!

beyond that...yea, no comment.

Dang Oregon trailer-parkites, can't have nuttin' nice around them. Lol

I've heard about Klamath falls, there's a res over there if I'm not mistaken. My father has told me many stories of his time there in the 60s. Roudy town.
