I live in Alabama. I'm 19 years old and own a Smith & Wesson 45 that was given to me as a gift from my mother, and i was wondering if i am legally allowed to transport it in my vehicle from my house to my hunting camp.

I am moving this to the CCW section as it fits better in there.
My initial response would be to have you call one of the local police departments and ask them for their laws, it would be much more reliable than any website and it's free of charge & anonymous, if you call from a pay phone.
