I would like to know what your SD gun is and what is in your magazine. I just picked up my XDm 3.8 9mm today.

I have a Beretta 92 L Compact. I have some Remington +P 124-grain Golden Saber and Federal 135-grain Personal Defense ammo I use if I am carrying for self-defense.

I also own an XDm 3.8 9mm. It will be my CCW when I receive the permit. My intention is to use Hornady Critical Defense 115gr ammo since 115gr is the weight I practice with. You might check out my thread relating to this ammo.

124 grain Speer Gold Dots in an XD-9 SubCompact w/ Trijicon night sights.
Actually, this is my alternate self-defense weapon. My primary carry is an XD-40 service model w/ Truglow TFOs. Gold Dots here, too.

When I carry a 9mm it is a Glock 19 or 17 loaded with Winchester PDX1 124+p.

For my short-barreled, small-framed 9mm (3") I carry Winchester Ranger 147gr....slow and heavy is good for this.
For my long-barreled, large-framed 9mm (4.5") I load Winchester Ranger 127gr +p+.
Ranger comes in boxes of 50 rounds and is really affordable (60 cents a round) compared to so many other brands!!
