I love my Taurus 709 slim and 740 slim and would recommend them but they have an very long trigger pull that takes practice to get used to.

I did quite a bit of homework when it came to finding the right subcompact 9mm. The S&W Shield was the right gun for me, and at a very reasonable price. I preferred it to the offerings from Kahr, Kel-Tec, Ruger, Sig, etc...and I shot most of the models offered by those companies.

The Shield is a truly great gun and I can't say a bad word about it. But when the Springfield XDs becomes available in 9mm, my Shield will be replaced. Because the XDs truly is even greater.

My wife has a Bersa Thunder Ultra Compact 9mm and loves it. She fires it a lot and also takes tactical classes with it. It's been very reliable and hers is also an ambidextrous model since she's a lefty

I carry an HK P2000sk (9mm) in either a TT Leather or ComTac holster.

I have a Keltec pf9 and a ruger lcp that I use as a ccw. I have a crossbreed iwb holster for the pf9 and a desantis pocket holster for the lcp. The pf9 I believe is the lightest and thinnest 9 mm made. I can carry it in the crossbreed with jeans or slacks with shirt tucked in or out and not only can you not see it I forget I have it on. Also, I bought the pf9 for around $250 new.
