Does anyone use this round or has experience with it, just curious.

I use it and like it's performance in the .45 ACP.

For 9mm carry, I use Buffalo Bore 9mm Luger +P+ Pistol and Handgun Ammo - (+P+) 115 gr. Jacketed Hollow Point (1,400 fps/M.E. 500 ft.lbs.) That's near .45 ACP power!

I dont have any experience with the TAP in 9mm, however i use the TAP and the CUSTOM loads in 230g .45 and i really like the way that they perform.

Hornady TAP is one of the rounds I carry in 45acp. I carry 2 rounds of Corbon Powrball, followed by 230gr Win Ranger/Hornady TAP JHPs.

I'm sure it's fine in 9mm too, but it's not been one of my choices there. I like Win Ranger 127gr +P+ for medium-large framed guns and Hornady Critical Defense for micros (because it feeds like ball).

I really like Winchester Rangers in every caliber. The performance is outstanding, it's a LE favorite all over the country, and the prices on 50rd boxes from SGammo.com are outstanding.

Personally I carry hornady critical defense rounds in my 9mm, as well as my .40&.38.. I've never had any problems with them and because of the high density Teflon core hornady guarantees 100% expansion of the hollow point everytime.. Which ever you decide to go with as your everyday carry ammo, despite the high price of a box, it's a good idea to put some down range both rapid firing and slow controlled, different ammo reacts different in different guns

Those who prefer a particular brand of ammo over all others, based on "performance," just exactly what kind of performance do you mean? Does it function well in your gun of choice? Does it go bang every time? How does the bullet perform after leaving the gun? How does it perform in a human body? How do you know? We all decide on word of mouth, advertising, or recommendations, but how do we really know?
