Default spare mag

My edc is ruger lcp, sometimes i will add my keltek p11. P11 has 10 rounds +1 so i donot carry extra mag. Lcp is ALWAYS with me, and i carry extra mag in front left pocket in a home made plastic case.( keeps the pocket lint out of mag.)
So many days i have 11 -9mm rounds from P11, and 6+1 in Elsie and a 6 round mag. If i need more than 24 rounds of anything ....it is a BAD day!!!

I like the looks of the Sig P238 and the other small compact bug guns, but they are way to small for me to shoot comfortably. I carry a Taurus Model 85 or a S&W Bodyguard in a pocket holster with 2 spare speed strips.

Remember, most all gunfights are at very close range and if you have to do a mag change in that situation, then you have already missed your target and at worst, might already be dead. If you are going to carry, train, train, train and be able to make that first shot count. If you wind up in a gunfight to where you have emptied your pistol and have to make a mag change, you are most likely far enough away from your advisary that you should have had other options and will have a very long day in court or worst.

Jim..........
Carrying an extra mag has nothing to do with capacity or ability to hit targets. Magazine failure is the number one reason for pistol malfuctions. Because of that carrying a pistol without a spare mag is like driving your car without a spare tire.

I always carry at least one spare mag in my off side or back pocket for smaller pistols or in a mag carrier or folding knife sheath on my belt for the bigger guys.
