The distances were 2, 5, and 7 yards. 7 yards is 21 feet. I figure by the time the person with the knife runs your direction they would probably make it to within 6 feet of you. But again the 2nd and 3rd targets were shot while retreating. So the distance increased. The 7 yard target was probably close to 10 by the time it was engaged. The 2 yard target is to resemble someone right on top of you.
This was a fast stage. But it was not spray and pray. There must be a balance between speed and acuracy.
