The distances were 2, 5, and 7 yards. 7 yards is 21 feet. I figure by the time the person with the knife runs your direction they would probably make it to within 6 feet of you. But again the 2nd and 3rd targets were shot while retreating. So the distance increased. The 7 yard target was probably close to 10 by the time it was engaged. The 2 yard target is to resemble someone right on top of you.

This was a fast stage. But it was not spray and pray. There must be a balance between speed and acuracy.

'Retreating' as in backing up????

Any perp that gets within 25 ft is going to be taken down. 21 ft is a good rule of thumb to keep an adversary out of. I can't do it today and don't want to try. Seniors should be sent ,to the head of the line, for CCWs because they are less capable, of fending off assailants. Of course no one is required to be permitted by our Law of the Land or Constitution. Unfortunately the Rulin C lass Socialists don't recognize our Laws. They an pick and choose for us.
