1911 Carry
Does anyone, or has anyone, carry concealed a 1911 with those adjustable target sights?
I understand they are more prone to snagging or even breaking in carry conditions. I ask because when looking at different models ones with combat sights dont have features I want, yet ones with adjustable sights have some features that I do want. No such thing as a perfect gun, just compromises with what you're willing to live with.

I don't have a 1911 as of yet, much to my dismay. But have you considered getting the features you want and then just changing the sights if your not comfortable with them?

I would not recommend adjustable sights for a carry piece with a 1911. When i bought my Sig 1911 they had a model I was in love with that had the adjustable target sights but realized that it just isn't a smart idea. They could easily snag on your shirt and in a extreme circumstance, drawing your weapon you don't want that extra variable to be in your way. They are called adjustable "target" sights for a reason, keep those for the range. Just my .02

I seem to recall seeing a 1911 with adjustable sights that had been worked on to minimize the snagging issue, cant remember where though.

On a carry weapon, adjustable sights are of no more use than teats on a boar hog. In distances involved in self defense, hitting one inch different at 20 feet won't make a hill of beans. (assuming you had time to use your best target stance, breathing, sight alignment and trigger pull)
Besides that, 1911 standard sights are adjustable. You adjust them once, and unless you chage eyes you are good to go.
So why add a snag problem?
