I am considering the SR40c over the XD40c... It looks just a little bigger, and I have big hands. Hickok seemed to love shooting it too lol
EDIT: Just went to the gun store. Went in to get the XD and came out with the Ruger. It's a nice, much more solid-feeling sidearm!

You won't be disappointed Dan. I just love mine. I'm sure the XD40C is just as nice, as are tons of other guns. It simply boils down to personal preference. Remove the mag disconnect on the SR40C. Takes only 5 minutes. And get a 5/64 hex wrench in case ya wanna drift the rear sight. Hickok45 kept the T&E gun Ruger sent him. He liked it that much. So far, I've put 300 of my hand loads through it with only one glitch and that was my fault for shooting it "limp wristed". I've been a revolver shooter for 30 years and old habits die hard.

The mag disconnect came right out. I had it home 2minutes and that was the first thing I did. I can't wait to shoot it; probably next week... I wnt to be back in the country. City life is killing my soul! Lol

Are there 16 perpetrators or 18? and can I eliminate each with one round a piece? Is there only one magazine available? If the answer are less than 16, the bigger rounds is the way to go.

You'll be more than happy and more than "gunned" with either. I believe 9mm are cheaper rounds thus it would be an easy choice for me.

I enjoy those rare occasions when I carry my Match... 15 +1 175gr STHP @1250fps... That said, about everyone here has it right; whatever you shoot well and will carry. Some days I do 18 9mm, some days it's 15 .40 S&W. I never feel short either way. But that 10mm sure is sweet...
