Oddly enough, every gun show I've gone to has required carry holders to unload and cable lock the gun open. Virtually all the guns there are UNLOADED!
Of course with a few thousand people there, chances are pretty good that some (most) of them would be able to reload their guns pretty quickly if trouble arose...

I've changed my stance after some consideration.
I've realized that these poor mass shooters are usually bullied, ostracized and picked on for years leading up to their 'snap'.
I will no longer try to shoot a threat like that, unless I absolutely have to.
My new policy is to order them to the ground, and if possible, subject them to atomic wedgies, swirlies, Indian burns, purple nurples, and wet willies until the authorities arrive.
Hopefully it is caught on camera phone, where it can be viewed by his inmates.

Technically, the term 'high powered' has yet to be defined in the context of rifles.
How could it possibly BE defined? FPS? Bullet grain? Range? Too many variables to put an actual definition to it.
It's just another overused term the MSM uses to scare the uninformed...

IMO all bullets are "high powered", hence they kill people/animals. What you have(again IMO) is small bore pistol, large bore pistol, rim fire, intermediate rifle and battle rifle. This is just my opinion, I'd like to hear what C3 has to say on this.

True but generally .223 and 7.62x39 are not considered high power

All I'm saying is that I've never heard the term 'high powered' used outside of a news broadcast...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that stupid ***** out of Australia, who got ALL the guns banned there, she was the one going on about "high powered" firearms. She "openly" advocates for firearms that can not shoot over 100 yards. She is a nasty, lecherous ****, and I use the term "openly" in quotes, because she sure as hell backpedals under LaPierre...
I think the media is trumpeting her claims, since Australia is a liberal wet dream...being you can't even get a pocket knife over there now.
Wayne LaPierre, putting the smack down on this vile scum. Fast forward to a minute thirty to avoid vomiting in your own mouth from listening to this condescending, lying sack of pig excrement.

Fellas...why are we arguing the merits of terms invented by the liberal press?
Note: this is a battle of language as much as it is a battle of ideas.
Here are the terms to use when discussing our struggle.
"Standard Power" Definition...ANY firearm using the cartridge it was designed to fire.
"Standard Capacity" Definition...Any magazine capable of holding the amount of ammo it's designer intended
"Assault Weapon"...Definition...Already regulated and expensive...like 10k minimum expensive
"Gun Control" Definition...Desire to Sacrifice Liberty for a false promise.
Any Questions?

Every gun show I've been to has had armed deputies.
