Ok. This story has been around for a lil bit. Has there been any word on what is happening to the cops that shot the guy they said was shot by the bad guy?

Fifty shots, twenty some hits? That sounds about right.

I've no desire to shoot anyone but ass clown cops like NY's are the reason I now train to the apricot, armpits, and femoral arteries.

Yeah, we have cops in Florida, too.

But since LACs are armed, they have a

lot less to do here...

Daughter and I were talking tonight. My son-in-law elect is a Deputy here in VA. I asked- How old was Greg when he learned to shoot? 10. How old when he started deer hunting? 12. How many NON- work guns does he have? About 10. How often does he go shooting when not working? You should know- he goes with you about once a month, when he's not plinking at the raccoons at his house.

Let's try that with an average Big Apple's finest- How old when you learned to shoot? 22, in the Academy. Deer hunting? You mean like those country hicks? Non-work guns? You mean like a backup gun? Naw, don't have the permits for those. Shooting when not working? Only if someone is paying me overtime.

You an I probably grew up in similar cultures- where a gun was an ordinary fixture of life, or tool. NYC- meh, different culture. VERY different.
This is what came first to my mind, smaller pool of experienced shooters for police to recruit from. At least down here, i don't worry about the police shooting me by mistake.

Yeah, most of our shootings in Clark County WA are home owners dropping meth head burglars...yet to see a home owner charged...

Perception is certainly shaped by the area in which one exists.

All the scumbags from Florida were targeting out of state folks,

for awhile.

Most of them wised up, though, and moved to states where

the civilians are disarmed by gun control.

I can see why, if I were a crook, I would certainly not want to take

the chance of being drilled by a private citizen while in the commission

of a Felony.

I see a lot of people advertising CC classes, many people are getting them. It's a sign of bad things to come at the polls. Ammo sales are thru the roof, guns sales up, high cap mags are selling like hot cakes. Gun talk is more common among many people, how much ammo, do you have a xxx gun for sale, did you check out the new gun shop, would you shoot if..... I have answered yes to most questions.

Wait, if there are more people arming themselves does that not mean that more people are availing themselves of their Second Amendment Right? If that is so then wouldn't those same people be inclined to vote for a pro-2A candidate?

If so then the only one running is Gary Johnson. He is for elimination of all gun controls .

Some people might not remember a few months ago some fashion designer that lost his job shot his boss in the face with a shotgun in NYC. The police ended up shooting like 9 people, and the media initially reported that it was a mass shooting perpetrated by the original shooter, when in fact he only shot and killed one person. I think the media love to jump on mass shootings, and NY police need to give up those heavy DA triggers for something lighter.

I'm wondering if they might need to go back to the old revolvers and skip the higher-capacity pistols until their skills/control improves.

They need to go back to nightsticks, community involvement and oral communication! If the NYPD think they can maintain order and control with a 40k paramilitary force they need to take a look at any occupation throughout history to see the outcome
