on the face of it looks like a good outcome to a crappy situation. crazy guy was probably on parole or bail or work release or just released from a nut hatch by a bleeding heart judge

This is a case of concealed carry civilian acting as a first responder. Wouldn't it have been great if the same thing had occurred at Killeen or MIT.
