Default Gun Accidentally Goes Off, Injures Fort Carson Soldier

WTF! Are they teaching them anything in boot camp nowadays?

Information at the link.

“We cannot stress the importance of proper gun safety when handling any kind of weapon. Always treat a weapon as if it is loaded," the Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

thats a great example of negative stories of firearm usage in the media
"Gun control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound." — L. Neil Smith

The problem with being stupid is you cannot simply decide to stop doing dumb things...
