ID'd by a female acquaintance; somebody didn't get her smokes. LOL!


I wonder, if the clerk could sue the robber for the intentional tort of assault and get the chrome piece as part of the judgment? If so, would the department give it up (assuming the thief's pistol wasn't stolen)?

Who gets to keep the gun is up to state law. In some states, the cop who investigated the event, or maybe the cop who arrests the perp would get to keep it.
