I'm pretty tickled by two things;
1. The Mothers gun that she new how to use
2. The news was in total support of her actions!!!!

Kudos to the girl!!!!
It just proves to me that Mom has taught her properly about handgun usage!
God Bless her and her Mom.

The news supported her actions, but cut her off before she could say that she was taught how to use the gun. They probably had a short window for the story and they were very supportive. But still, her training is a more important part of the story than who and what she hit!
Love your signature, by the way!

She got him through the shoulder and he ran from the house.

That's the outcome I would hope for. Empty magazine and an aerated perp.

As satisfying as that would be for us uninvolved observers, think about the 12 year old girl. Killing someone at any age comes with a price. She'd have to grow up with that label, go through school with that label. She'd have to work pretty hard to avoid applying that label to herself. Seems to me the best outcome (other than BG stays home) is what happened.

She done good! I'm glad to see she was able to defend herself. You never know when these kind of things will happen. I'm glad her mother had taught her about the gun.

What a brave young lady. I hope that she's recognized for keeping her composure and making good decisions. She has every right to be very proud of herself. It would be a tragedy if she's criticized for her actions. She's already A PTSD victim but I suspect that with the proper support from family, friends and her religious leaders , she'll do just fine.
Let's hope that her actions inspire other ordinary citizens to learn how to avoid become a victim of those who seek to take her rights away (both criminals and criminal organizations).
