We used to use a dry lube on our crew served guns and on saws and 240b I think it was made by a company called militech or something. It would not attract sand like clp did. One of our guys was a gun guru and convinced the command to order it out of our own pockets and lemme tell you our weapons never failed when we needed them

We didn't have the dry lube. The army was using it, but we hadn't gotten any.

When in doubt, read the owner's manual.

This good gent has collected a BUNCH of owner's manuals, and put them on line. If this is useful to you, send him a couple of bucks to defray the cost of keeping his website open. S&W lawyers (not to bright) made him take down the S&W manuals.

We did it at battery level and pooled money to get it because clp was locking everything up and the dry lube wasn't something they could order on the battery credit card

I would think they'd want the manual readily available... obviously as long as it's correct of course.

On my p226 SAO I grease the rails and lube all other points, but it gets the most use out of all my guns as I shoot IDPA with it.
