Default Ultrasonic Gun Cleaning

What is it? How does it work? A local gunsmith is offering it, do I want to take some of my safe guns up and have this done? What about the regular shooters?

It's pretty awesome. It uses little vibrations to knock dirt and stuff out of the nooks and crannies of your firearm parts. I know some guys use ultrasonic cleaners to clean their brass. How much is he charging?

It will strip every bit of oil and lube as well as dirt. They charge $20 around here.

Not sure of the charge yet. If its $20, that sounds fair. Any dangers, Can it harm factory bluing?

Nah. It's just pretty much bubbles and water. You gotta watch out for what kinda degreaser or solvent they use though. Some of that stuff will strip bluing away.
