Rather than posting the day of the failure on the thumbprint portion of the indoor plates I have waited to lump the recent failures into a single post. Here they are. Again this is only in the thumb print area of the plate.

As for the outdoor boards. Board #2 has now had every product show corrosion at 29 days. Board #1 is at 30 days with the same remaining products still fighting off corrosion.

Great testing. Why no motor oil??

Thats pretty much the only thing thats been applied to both my scar17 and bcm carbine.

I would be interested in seeing what that does. I dont rely on anything to protect my firearms as they get lubed and cleaned when exposed to water.

You clearly have not read the text. Motor oil in indeed included in this evaluation. Giving all the outstanding options motor would be a last choice give how poorly it performed in regards to lubrication and corrosion resistance. I think people do their firearms a disservice by using motor oil when there are so many options that are far better. People think they are savbing a buck or two by using an inferior option.

DIY_Guy for possible future testing...

I came upon a tube of mil-com TW25B grease from a SIG buddy, I've been running it on one of my Smith 45ACP's for a couple of weeks now and am really liking this stuff. Wonder what your friction test would reveal? Along with the other testing???
