a lot of rust... what do I do?

Ok so there is this gun and it is full of rust. And scratches and dirt and its even been burnt before. I would like to know of any possible way to take this rust of and the plastic that is burned onto it off. I don't have to have all of the stuff off but Id like to get as much as i can.

Throw it back in the fire you got it out of. If you can't even see the markings or what kind of gun it is it's probably trash. Pics?

A firearm that has been exposed to heat above the combustion point of wood/ plastics is generally not considered safe to fire.

Would stop while you're behind.

You can see what type of gun it is and the only thing that is burnt is a piece of plastic and it got melted to the gun.

As a matter of fact, no, we can't. No picture.

If the whole gun was heated to the point the plastic melted the metal probably lost temper.

Oh btw.
