Best cleaner and or lubricant
Who has an opinion regarding the best cleaner and /or lubricant to use?
Does anyone have a preference when cleaning a firearm which is also made up of polymer?
Thanx!

i have started using a lot of the Kano Kroil. works great as penetrant, bore cleaner and a rust remover.
any of the name brand cleaners should be plenty safe to use on a polymer handgun. i do use the Hoppes #9 on mine with no ill results.

I primarily use breakfree. The only thing is it is best to clean it one day, let it soak then finish up with a re-clean the next day to get all the carbon out.

I second the Breakfree CLP. I have used Hoppe's #9 and still do. But with CLP I do not need to clean it all off before oiling with Mobil1. Hoppe's will break down oil, but CLP will even help lubricate in some of the internal parts.
Good stuff.
Mobil1 is the best gun lubricant I can think of, too!

Here's some reading;
canebrake's 1911 platform pistol cleaning suggestions
Oh yea, I've heard it works well on poly-guns too.

Hoppes #9 and Rem Oil works for me. Who doesn't love the smell of Hoppes?

i love the smell of Hoppe's #9! my father used it for years and everytime i smell it, it reminds me of when i was a youngster and helped my father clean his guns. fond memories.
